Nepal faced its second consecutive defeat in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 after losing to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by five wickets in the fifth triangular One-Day International (ODI) match held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Winning the toss, Nepal elected to bat first and set a target of 234 runs, which the UAE successfully chased down in 43.3 overs, losing only five wickets.

For the UAE, Aryans Sharma was the standout performer, scoring a brilliant 98 runs, including 10 fours and three sixes.
On the bowling front, Sandeep Lamichhane claimed two wickets, while Karan KC and Dipendra Singh Airee picked up one wicket each for Nepal.
With this loss, Nepal has now suffered back-to-back defeats in the series. Earlier, the team was beaten by the United States by 106 runs in the opening match.
