No Electoral Alliance, Says NCP Coordinator Dahal

Wednesday, 07 January 2026

Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has stated that his party will not ally with any political party in the upcoming elections.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting of the party’s Central Consultative Committee held at the party headquarters in Parisdanda on Monday, Dahal clarified that the NCP will contest the elections independently.

He said the party is not concerned about alliances formed or likely to be formed among other political parties. “We are not afraid of any alliances that have occurred or may occur between other parties,” Dahal remarked.

Referring to the National Assembly elections, Coordinator Dahal noted that seat allocation should be based on vote share, describing it as a matter of rightful representation. However, he added that no agreement has yet been reached on the issue.
