Working Class to Lead Next Government: Harka Sampang

Sunday, 14 December 2025

Chairperson of the Labor Culture Party, Harkaraj Rai ‘Harka Sampang’, has claimed that a government led by farmers, herdsmen, and cultivators will be formed in Nepal after the upcoming elections.

Addressing a public gathering in Diktel Bazaar of his home district, Khotang, Sampang said the people are firmly backing the Labor Culture Party and asserted that he would lead the next government.

Sampang, who also serves as the Mayor of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, said the country can only move forward under leaders with a clear vision and strong commitment. He added that his party is advancing with a concrete and comprehensive plan for national development.

“People repeatedly see the same leaders asking for votes with the same promises, but the problems remain unresolved,” Sampang said. “Despite allocating budgets, time and again, projects remain incomplete. It is therefore essential to elect capable and accountable leaders in the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.”

Emphasizing action over rhetoric, Sampang stressed the need to empower leaders who deliver results rather than merely make speeches. He also called for unity to bring meaningful change in the country.

During the programme, Sitaram Rai, former vice-chairman of the then District Development Committee of Khotang, along with leaders and cadres from various political parties, joined the Labor Culture Party.

The gathering also formed a 53-member district working committee of the Labor Culture Party in Khotang under the leadership of Pratap Rai.
