Prime Minister Sushila Karki met with the families of martyrs of the Gen-Z movement on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami.
PM Karki first reached Banasthali in Kathmandu to meet the family of martyr Sauran Kishor Shrestha, originally from Baglung and currently residing in Banasthali. She then visited Nagarjun-3 to meet the family of martyr Kanchhi Nagarkoti, and later went to Maitrinagar in Kirtipur to meet the family of martyr Buddhi Bahadur Tamang.
Accompanying the Prime Minister was Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, who also interacted with the families.
Speaking to the media after the visits, Minister Kharel said:
“The Prime Minister did not offer or receive tika on Bijaya Dashami, and neither did I. Instead, meetings and discussions were held with the families of the martyrs of the Gen-Z movement. The families expressed their wish that the blood of the martyrs must be given justice.”
