President Ramchandra Paudel has dissolved the House of Representatives (HoR), the lower chamber of the federal parliament, on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. The dissolution came into effect at 11:00 p.m. on Friday.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the President, the next general election for the HoR has been scheduled for March 5, 2026.
