We are always proud of Mt. Everest, Buddha, temples, and Wooden/Stone carvings of the Malla dynasty! Nothing wrong with it, however, I have one question for all.
Is not time to build at least a few world-class modern architectural / engineering profound unique things in our country? It will be great at least to have one world-class modern iconic thing in the capital city of Kathmandu as a great beginning.
People get tired of being proud of just old icons of history! New generations need innovations too that can not be discarded. It will be a task & challenge for the decision-makers & top engineers/Architects & scientists of the country. You do not need to go too far just take the example of Dubai, China even Malaysia.
See below one opera house- the architectural icon of Australia now known to the whole world as well as it pays back through the flow of tourists plus!
