The Pathibhara region, home to the famous Pathibhara Devi Shrine, experienced the first snowfall of the season following light rainfall on Friday afternoon. Snow began falling late last night, marking the onset of winter conditions in the high-altitude area.
According to Rajendra Mahat, an employee at the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, the snowfall has brought a noticeable drop in temperature. The Committee has urged pilgrims to remain cautious and take necessary precautions against the cold.
Despite the chilly weather, the snowfall has not significantly affected the flow of visitors. Instead, many pilgrims have welcomed the opportunity to enjoy the fresh snow after offering prayers at the revered shrine.
Devotees have been arriving in large numbers since early morning, officials said.
